HELIX 3D Hip Joint Prosthesis
New standards in prosthetic applications. More safety, dynamic response and comfort
Ottobock with Helix 3D hip joint system; It set a standard for movements after hip joint amputation. This can be applied to amputees who have undergone both hip disarticulation and hemipelvectomy, in which part of the pelvis is removed.
In natural walking, the hip moves in three dimensions. However, we have to adapt this to some balancing movements in the legs and feet. The internal and external rotation ability lost after amputation has been integrated into the single-piece joint structure of the Helix 3D hip joint system. Miniature hydraulics in the hip joint create a series of three-dimensional movements during stance and swing. Movement series; It is more physiological than previous systems that were single-axis, back-and-forth and non-dynamic.
